The General Assembly

The General Assembly is the supreme organ of the institute. It is made up of all members of the institute. The quorum for sitting in the General Assembly shall be 2/3 of its members excluding honorary members.

The General Assembly has the following powers:

  1. Adopt and to modify statutes and internal regulations of the Institute;
  2. Appoint and dismiss legal representatives and their deputies; To appoint all members of other organs and remove them from office;
  3. Streamline the Institute’s activities;
  4. Admit, suspend and exclude members;
  5. Approve the annual accounts;
  6. Accept grants and inheritance;
  7. Dissolve the Institute in case need arises;   
  8. To deal with financial and property management policy.

The General Assembly convenes once a year in an ordinary annual general meeting (AGM) or as often as possible in its extra-ordinary general meeting. It is convened and presided over by the Chairperson, and in case of absence, it shall be convened and presided over by the Vice-Chairperson.
