The Technical Advisory Committee

The Technical Advisory Committee consists of five (5) members appointed by the Board and approved by the General Assembly from political decision makers and researchers;

The Committee meets quarterly and is responsible for providing technical advice to the Board and the secretariat on matters of research and any other activities that may be undertaken by the institute. The TAC may be organized into smaller committees or working groups for the purpose of allowing it flexibility in its operations of making any inquiry or of supervising and performing any function as shall be assigned by the Board.

The Committee has the following responsibilities:

  2. To monitor business performance and provide advisory services to the board on any issue that is likely to affect organizational performance;
  3. To help providing knowledge, understanding and strategic thinking to the institute
  4. To give review research and intelligence work being done the organization and advise accordingly
  5. to provide advice (both technical and scientific) to the Board about research methodologies, certification body approval (accreditation) methodologies and the operational interpretation and application of these methodologies;
  6. Provide any advice to the board either proactively or upon request.

The TAC adopts its own internal rules of procedure that governs the conduct of its business.

The Committee has a term of office of three (3) years renewable only once;
